A few Noob questions - Guild Wars Forums

Hi everyone pritty new to Guild Wars but I have a few questions.

In the game before my name I hav D/N5, what does this mean? I have seen other players with similar numbers and letters aswel.

I installed Nightfall first then Eye Of The North but I have noticed no difference, what does Eye Of The North expansion do exactly?

Hey, welcome to teh world of GW.
The D/N Is your 1st and second profession, so in this case, your primary prof is Dervish and your secondary is Necromancer, meening you can use both Dervish and necromancer skills, although Dervish skills will be more effective on you as you can add runes onto your armor to boost your attributes for your primary.

EOTN is an expansion, it has another 'world' kinda', if you've made it to Kamadan yet, you'll be able to take a quest from someone, that allows you to enter 'EOTN'. If your unsure on what quest it is, there's a box that appears on your screen when you enter Kamadan that will say something like 'To Enter EOTN, you must take the quest .... from ...'

D/N5 Means "Dervish/Necromancer lv5" Your primary,second profession and your Level

And at lv10 you can get a quest:

??? from Bendah, in Kamadan.

You will travel to Eye of the North and start a new story,get new heroes,armors,etc...

Ps:
D/ = Dervish
P/ = Paragon
A/ = Assassin
E/ = Elementalist
Me/ = Mesmer
Mo/ = Monk
W/ = Warrior
Rt/ = Ritualist
N/ = Necromancer
